Dave and April, Minister of Youth

I came to a saving knowledge of Christ when I was enlisted in the Marine Corps while serving in Washington DC in the Fall of 1994. Although I had attended church from the time I was very young, I never saw myself as a sinner in need of a Savior until I was an adult and the gospel message pricked my heart and changed my life.  While attending a local church in the Washington DC area I had met my soul mate and best friend April whom I married in June of the year 2000.

Some of my hobbies include; reading, fishing, exercising and restoring old vehicles. There is a special blessing taking an old classic car and bringing it back to its full potential. This is sort of a life philosophy taking something that is abandoned and forgotten about and making it into something that is cherished and valuable.

I love to read biographies and books about Christian living and Christian history. Some authors that peak my interest are E. M. Bounds, Warren Wiersbe and C.S. Lewis. I am currently reading Essentials of Prayer by E. M. Bounds.

At this point in life I am currently employed in the technology sector as a Network Engineer for AT&T. Currently I am pursuing a ministry related advanced degree.
